Meet Coach Katya

Welcome Coach Katya to the Cottage Golf Studio Team!

At Cottage Golf Studio, our mission has always been clear: introduce more women to the game of golf. We're thrilled to announce that Coach Katya Kurkoski is joining our team, bringing fresh energy and expertise to our diverse coaching platform.

Katya comes to us with impressive credentials. A recent graduate of Whitman College, she played four years of Division III golf and was a varsity golfer at Portland's Jesuit High School. Now a PGA Associate Professional, Katya splits her time between Rock Creek Country Club and Cottage Golf Studio, where she'll be teaching lessons, leading clinics, and building our junior program.

Since this past October, Katya has been apprenticing with Coach Kat, immersing herself in the Cottage culture and our teaching philosophy. What sets her apart? Her infectious energy and genuine joy for the game. As a golfer who grew up with modern technology, she's fluent in Trackman analysis and the technical side of swing mechanics. But she's equally skilled at making lessons fun—especially for junior golfers, who respond to her natural enthusiasm and positive reinforcement.
