I’m a total beginner - is that OK?

YES. Beginners are my favorites golfers. No need to have clubs or any prior golf knowledge. Just bring an open mind and comfortable clothes and shoes. If you’re extra nervous, bring a friend along for emotional support.

What should I bring?

For starters, clothes that are easy to swing in and comfortable athletic shoes. If you have golf clubs, you can bring them in. We are up one flight of stairs, so you might want to grab just a few clubs for each lesson. A 7-iron and a fairway wood or driver is a good place to start. If you wear a glove, don’t forget to bring it along too.

Do you teach men?

YES, all are welcome at Cottage Golf. Our mission is centered around getting more women into golf but we are all about inclusion. We have plenty of male students who love the Trackman technology and video analysis.

How long have you been doing this?

I’ve been playing, coaching and leading golf teams and events in some fashion most my life. My transition from amateur to PGA Teaching Professional began in 2020 and the Beaverton Studio opened in April of 2022.

What should I expect during a lesson?

We’ll chat a little about your golf experience and goals while you’re stretching and warming up. Then we’ll hit some golf balls into the screen and use the Trackman technology to analyze your swing and make some adjustments. We’ll only make a few changes each session and you’ll leave with a video of your swing and some golf homework to practice at home or on the range.

What if I can’t find a time that works for me on your schedule?

If you don’t see an available lesson time that works for your schedule, just send us an email and we’ll work with you to open something up. We know exactly how hard it is to find time for yourself between work hours, family schedules, and all the things that pull you in a million directions.

Can I host an event at the studio?

Absolutely! Whether it’s a team-building, book club, birthday or baby shower, we’re here for it. We can add the golf component at whatever level works best for your group. Drop us a line and we’ll work on dates and pricing together.
